Provided here is a comparison of all the 48- and 52-pin devices. The R8C/24,25 and R8C/35x are considered general purpose devices. Although both are 52-pins, the 35x provides more memory options reaching up to 128KB Flash + 4KB Data Flash. Other differences include the availability of CAN and a hardware real-time clock. Finally, the R8C/24-25 group also offers two package options, a 52-pin 10mm x 10mm package and for those applications that are space-constrained, a 64-pin 6mm x 6mm package is also available.
