As part of this family, there is an older series of devices from which the premier device being promoted, STW81200, has evolved. That family of older devices still remains in volume production. If the requirements are not quite as critical, and price is more important, the 8110x family of devices could be interesting. These devices still have good phase noise performance, and a good level of integration. There are only two VCOs on these devices, so there is less flexibility in the dividers. It addresses all of the cellular bands, all of the bands for wireless infrastructure, and can be useful in some other areas such as set-top-box applications. The 8110x family has a lower price than the newer device, and is very competitively priced compared to similar competing devices. It has a slightly smaller 5X5, 28-pin package.
