EKMB/EKMC Series Flat Square Lens Type PIR Motion Sensors

Panasonic’s EKMB and EKMC series flat square lens type passive infrared or pyroelectric (PIR) motion sensors offer both a low profile and flat surface, granting a flush design look against the surface of the build. The flat square lens type sensors have a lens to create various detection zones, an optical filter to block non-infrared light, pyroelectric sensing elements, and an impedance converter to get an electrical signal. They also integrate an amplifier and comparator circuit on the same chip, all densely packed inside the stem block.

Panasonic’s one-chip ASIC design is superior to discreet solutions by saving space, adding electromagnetic shielding to all circuitry, and cutting down on the number of components required. They are available in white, black, and pearl white.
