This table shows how the LT3756-2 fits within Linear’s family of high power LED drivers and compares it to the LT3756. The LT3756-2 offers improved open LED protection when compared to the LT3756. It can also be considered a higher voltage version of the LT3755. This table also shows that the LT3755-2 offers the same level of open LED protection as the LT3756-2. However, the LT3755 family is limited to a maximum VIN of 40V and VOUT of 60V compared to the LT3756 families 100V capability for both VIN & VOUT. Another comparison, the LT3756 family offers a much higher maximum input and output voltage capability when compared to the LTC3783 making it ideal for automotive, industrial and other applications which require high VIN and VOUT capability. Finally, this chart shows that relative to the LT3517/8 and the LT3478, the LT3756 family offers both higher VIN and VOUT as well as more current capability to power more LEDs.
