In sequence mode, the HDO oscilloscopes can capture thousands of trigger events and store them as segments in the instrument’s acquisition memory. This is very useful when capturing many fast pulses in quick succession with minimal dead time, or when capturing few events with long time intervals between them, in which case the lengthy dead time does not waste memory. Each segment is triggered, captured, and stored when the pre-determined number of trigger events is reached. All trigger events are time stamped and displayed to the user.
