Bluetooth 4.2 Overview Slide 12

Cypress BLE enables low power wireless systems by providing highly configurable 5 power modes. The 5 power mode architecture gives the control in system designer’s hands, to get to the lowest system power with easy to use APIs to switch between the power modes. The table here provides the system status and wake up sources for all of the power modes. Hibernate mode retains the SRAM variables. Deep sleep retains the complete system status along with maintaining the connection. The stop mode provides a low power mode with just 60 nA average current consumption. The figure on this slide gives the average power consumption for a typical BLE connection event. PSoC 4 BLE consumes 17.1 µA on average for a 1 second connection interval.
