Bluetooth Modules and Turnkey Solutions Slide 15
This slide shows the part number construction with its basic components to make it clear and easier to recall. SPBT stands for subsystem Bluetooth module. The following four digits identify the chipset embedded in the modules; the Bluetooth radio and the microcontroller. In the next pair of spaces a C1 or C2 indicates the output power, indicating class 1 or class 2. An A in the next space stands for onboard antenna, if the space is blank it indicates an external antenna is required. Finally, the last three digits identify the firmware versions; AT for the basic firmware and AT2 for the version supporting smartphone communication.
