Bluetooth Modules and Turnkey Solutions Slide 11
This slide illustrates the firmware architecture. The Bluetooth stack is completely embedded in the module and is partitioned in the Bluetooth lower stack, resident in the radio and Bluetooth upper stack, including protocols and profiles, loaded into the microprocessor. On top of that the microprocessor supports the AT command that is the user-friendly interface operating the modules. The profiles supported are the SPP by all firmware versions, and the SPP plus iAP is supported only by the AT2 version.
