To assist designs with LCD controllers a LCD imaging and mapping tool is included. The mapping tool creates the necessary library files to map the display for the processor. The imaging tool allows the designer to visualize the display, even before a display is available. The simulator, or debugger controlling the hardware, can drive the imaging tool. As mentioned before, LAPIS has reference boards available for all of these devices. Reference boards are easy to use because they have a device mounted on them and all of the inputs and outputs are available on headers so other circuits can easily be wired to the microcontroller. They have also developed a LAPIS Development kit that allows a design team to easily and quickly create programs for a ML610Q111/112.
