The upcoming slides feature Murata’s regulated medium power DC/DC converters. The products are aligned in no particular order, with some product series grouped together by common characteristics. This slide shows a range of regulated medium power DC/DC converters rated for 6-20W. While the NCS6 series accepts a 4:1 input voltage range, most of these converters accept a 2:1 input voltage range, hence the input voltage of a converter whose nominal input voltage is 48V, can be operated from 36V up to 72V or 75V. With models supporting 1kV or 1.5kV DC isolation, as the table shows, single and dual output models are available with industry standard pin-out configurations. 1kV in most industrial applications is adequate, but the industrial products have been designed to meet the higher standards set for IT equipment because many of these products do find their way into such applications where 1.5kV is required. Encapsulated in UL approved materials, these converters are also specified to operate to the full rated output power over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Furthermore, many models offer protection features such as over voltage protection (OVP), over current protection (OCP) and over temperature protection (OTP). Additionally, UL recognized models are available. Also note that the NPH family of 10W, 15W and 25W models, with an industry standard “center 5 pin” configuration are also pin compatible with each other.
