The new series of 150W DC/DC converters utilize an 86% - 89% high efficiency design using robust, industrial grade components, providing superior performance in the enclosed 2.07” x 3.86” x 1.60” metal case, the 1.60” profile includes the heat-sink which comes standard. No minimum load is required to get a fully regulated output and the 5 standard output voltages have a +20% output voltage trim range. Standard features include Remote On/Off control and high EMC immunity against surge, burst, radiated and conducted disturbances. Design compliance to MIL-STD-810F and EN 61373 for shock and vibration, as well as thermal shock resistance, make them very popular for harsh industrial, railway and transportation requirements. At 100% load the current characteristics go from constant voltage to constant current, which make these units also suitable for battery charging applications. Key features include protection against over-temperature, overload, short-circuit, reverse input, overvoltage and input undervoltage lock-out which helps to make the series extremely durable and hard to destroy. The TEP 150WI Series supports 150W up to 50°C ambient when utilizing the base plate and heat-sink for conduction cooling. When using 300LFM of system provided forced air cooling, full load operation of 150W can be achieved with an extended thermal range of up to 75°C ~ 80°C ambient, model dependent.
