It is important for an engineer to keep complete documentation. In the old days it was done by saving a screen shot; in the really old days a Polaroid camera was used to photograph a display image. Today, LabNotebook is one of the most advanced documentation tools on the market. It allows the user to save the screen shot, the oscilloscope set up, and the acquired data. The information can be saved to multiple destinations including internal memory, hard drive, and external memory. Also with this archiving, the data, the image and the oscilloscope setting, further off-line processing can be done later.
