The LTC4020 is Linear Technology’s first single-chip buck-boost battery charger/controller IC. It is a high-voltage, high-current battery charging controller and power manager for high current battery charging applications. The LTC4020 charges a variety of battery chemistries including lithium-ion/polymer/phosphate, sealed lead acid (SLA), and nickel-based cells with a special timer termination algorithm. The device is housed in a low profile, 38-pin 5mm x 7mm QFN package.
