The voltage rise caused the current to exceed 2.3 A and caused the over current warning flag to come on. With these simple tools, it can be seen how an over current warning flag could then be used with a digital on enabled module to turn a module on or off, based on a lower threshold. The OC warning and on/off feature could be used to establish a digitally enabled soft current limit, for example a 12 A module that the user wants limited to 8 A in an application.
