In summary, this presentation has highlighted the main features of the Microchip SAM9G46 and SAM9M11 SHA Hash Function Peripheral. The Microchip SAM9G46 and SAM9M11 fully support SHA-1 and SHA-256 as defined in the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 180-3 specification. In addition, thanks to the support of both AES and SHA cryptographic peripherals, the Microchip SAM9G46 and SAM9M11 are able to support several MAC algorithms such as HMAC, CMAC or CBC-MAC.
