The resistor/thermistor network combines the thermistor components and the fixed resistors from VISHAY in order to provide a network of 2 to 4 elements. Examples are shown on this slide in circuits A and B. The use of this network in a voltage divider mode as outlined above will provide a thermal output voltage of the network. The output voltage can be used for temperature digitalization via an analog digital converter or used for thermal compensation of another electronic device. The output voltage curve as shown in diagram C is a typical result of circuit A, showing voltage decreasing with temperature. In this case, an NTC thermistor was used to generate the optimal results. In other instances, a linear PTC might be the most suitable thermistor option to achieve the desired result. The result of Circuit B would show the voltage increasing with temperature.
