Communication via the Isolator µModule® Technology platform is second to none. Differential signals are supported by a high signal to noise ratio, error checking, and data retention refresh to ensure signal integrity. If, in the rare case, there is any loss in data refresh communication, the device will trigger a safe shutdown mode, where the outputs default to high impedance. This prevents excess power dissipation and indicates an isolation communication fault vs. a protocol error. Prioritized, event driven, data encoding and decoding across the isolation barrier produces jitter free signals so high data rates can be supported. Lastly, the platform boasts common mode transient immunity of >30kV/µs minimum, which allows the user to continue communication through common mode transient events. The Isolator µModule® Technology is unaffected by the transient and does not introduce any priority data jitter.
