Linear Technology’s new Isolator µModule® Technology provides a complete power and data isolation solution in small surface mount packages. The LTM2882 incorporates a robust, isolated, dual RS232 transceiver and an isolated DC/DC converter capable of delivering up to 1W of power for the bus interface circuits and auxiliary circuits. The module requires no external components as all necessary components including resistors, decoupling capacitors and inductors are built in. The module platform integrates an advanced RS232 transceiver, signal isolation circuits, all discrete components, and a powerful isolated DC-to-DC converter with transformer and decoupling capacitors in a small 11.25mm x 15mm package.
