The output of the DC-to-DC converter is available on the V_CC2 pin relative to GND2 on the isolated side. The LTM2882 isolated power supply, V_CC2, is regulated to 5V and is capable of delivering greater than 600mW with the 3.3V input version (LTM2882-3) or up to 1W with the 5V input version (LTM2882-5). This graph shows the typical output current over temperature for the full range of input supplies. The LTM2882 efficiency curve shows up to 52% efficiency with a -3 option and up to 65% efficiency with a -5 option. V_CC2 is decoupled by an internal 2.2µF capacitor to minimize noise. The LTM2882 offers a large output power solution in a small isolated package. Current limit and thermal limit protection are included in the µModule® technology. The primary I_CC current is monitored for overcurrent conditions along with thermal limits on the primary power driver and on the post regulator. The primary limit on current into V_CC is 550mA for the -3 option and 400mA for the -5 option.
