Welcome to the NXP QorIQ™ P2 Family product training module. This module will provide an introduction to NXP’s QorIQ P2020/2010 processor, based on NXP’s e500 core technology. Designed for power-conscious, high-performance applications, this processor addresses the key features needed in the high performance embedded market. The P2020 integrates system peripherals like sRIO, USB, PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet, SD/MMC and system cost saving boot options. These new features help reduce overall BOM costs and save design time by eliminating the need for external device controllers. The QorIQ P2 platform series, which includes the P2020 and P2010 communications processors, delivers unprecedented performance per watt per dollar for a wide variety of applications in the networking, telecom, military and industrial markets. Its pin compatibility with the P1020/P1011 and P1021/P1012 provides a 533MHz to 1.2GHz range in a pin compatible offering.
