Shown here are some of the features of SiTime’s kHz micro-power oscillators that lower power consumption and reduce footprint. The SiT153x family of micro-power 32kHz MEMS oscillators incorporates a unique output driver called NanoDrive™. This output driver is programmable to support swing levels from 300 to 700mV.  This NanoDrive feature serves two purposes. First, it directly drives the XTAL input of microcontroller and chipsets; thereby eliminating bulky 32kHz crystals and load capacitors. Second, it achieves 30% power savings over a traditional external clock with CMOS rail-to-rail outputs.
