LittelFuse 'SIDACtor' Devices

Once the SIDACtor device is in crowbar state, the current through the device must go below the holding current in order for the device to reset into its off state. From an application standpoint, this means that the holding current should be higher than the current that could be provided by the protected system. This is one reason SIDACtor devices are found being used mostly in limited power systems such as telephone, data and signaling.
