The ConnexLink product family allow installers to easily overcome the difficulties of installing a wired serial cable solution. By bridging the serial protocol across a proprietary frequency hopping system, installers can quickly connect two points thousands of feet away without the costs of cable. Because ConnexLinks of the same family are compatible, an installer can also bridge between two dissimilar protocols, such as from RS-232 on the client end to USB on the PC side. It should be noted though, that ConnexLinks with USB are only able to act as a USB peripheral device, they cannot act as a host, so they cannot bridge a USB connection on both sides.
