Here we see examples of the impact both temperature and DC Bias have on KEMET’s 200ºC C0G dielectric (in blue) when compared to typical X7R and X8R dielectric technologies (green and red respectively). The plot on the left illustrates the effects of capacitance with respect to temperature and no DC bias applied. Both X7R and X8R begin to loose capacitance at a rapid rate beyond 120ºC. However, KEMET’s 200ºC C0G exhibits capacitance stability over the entire temperature range. The plot on the right is an example of the same capacitors under the same temperature conditions, but with full rated voltage applied (100% DC Bias). This plot illustrates an even wider variation in capacitance for both X7R and X8R dielectrics. As with temperature, the performance of these dielectrics are also effected by voltage. Again, KEMET’s 200ºC C0G  maintains unremitted performance over the entire temperature range.
