Ratiometric refers to an output voltage which is a ratio of the supply voltage. For example, if the supply voltage is doubled, the output voltage will also double. Ratiometric linear devices are designed to provide an output that is proportional to the strength of the magnetic field. Digital outputs act more like switches in that they are on-off devices.
