Grace™ also provides instant notifications of any errors. This happens in real time, and offers developers instant feedback about how the peripherals are being enabled and configured. This prevents developers from running astray. Grace ensures users do not get too far along and that errors do not go unnoticed. The green checkmarks and red Xs also ensure that inter-peripheral configurations are consistent and prevent any contradicting configurations or collisions. These issues are also reported within Code Composer Studio’s “problems/error” window, which notifies users the error description as well as how to turn the red Xs into green check marks. Changes in one peripheral can change what is needed to function properly in other modules. Additionally, Grace ensures consistency by making automatic changes within peripherals if a high level change is made by the developer. Grace can ensure that the correct baud rate is consistent within the serial communications module, even if the clock frequency is changed within the clock module. This seemingly simple task can be very frustrating if being done by hand.
