Shown on the left here are the internal functions of the NIS3071 eFuse along with mentions of all 16-pins. The device features a charge pump, current limit, thermal shutdown, and built-in soft-start at 1 millisecond. There are 4 inputs, 4 outputs, 4 active high enable pins, an active low open drain fault reporting pin, a turn-on time-control pin to adjust the slew rate, a pin to connect a current limiting resistor, and a ground. Shown to the right are 4 possible configurations of this eFuse device. Configuration A has 4 independent source inputs and 4 load outputs. Configuration B has a single source input and a single load output. All 4 output channels can be shorted on this eFuse to handle 10A continuously. Configuration C again has a single source input but now with 4 loads on each output channel. Lastly, configuration D has 2 source inputs, and 2 loads on the output. In this case, output channel 1 and 2, as well as 3 and 4, are shorted to handle 5A each. Ultimately, there are many different configurations this four-channel eFuse is capable of.
