Shown here are the technical details of IKKP200. It has many security features built-in and is designed for strong security. This is an ideal drive for embedded applications where the user can unlock the drive while it is plugged in. It comes with a USB-A connector and an optional USB-C adapter cable can be purchased to use it on USB-C systems. This drive can even work on cell phones with a USB-C connector. IKKP200 is also water, dust, and shock resistant for uses where environmental conditions are harsher. It supports multi-PINs (Admin/User) and global and session Read-Only modes like IKVP80ES. Kingston does not officially support bootability, therefore, when a system or device is rebooted, power to the USB connector may be cut. When this happens, the IKKP200 will immediately lock up. This is by design to protect the data when a drive senses power loss. Depending on the device time to reboot and enumerate attached storage drives, there may or may not be enough time for the user to authenticate and the drive to be connected to the device to become the boot drive. The user would have to test the drive to see if there is enough time to authenticate to use the IKKP200 as the boot drive.
