The IKVP50 and IKVP50C are Windows or macOS drives, available in USB-A or USB-C models, which requires the User to launch an application to enter their password. They are the simplest drives to use for more traditional users with a Windows or macOS ecosystem as software is never installed on the client system. In addition, the password entry is secured so that memory sniffers cannot detect it. They offer a virtual keyboard to block keyloggers and screenloggers and support an international character set for passwords. These drives have all the required protections for a well-implemented hardware-encrypted USB drive. They offer a multi-password option (Admin/User) and even add a one-time recovery password for the User. A typical User could be set up by Admin to have two passwords to access the drive, thereby ensuring more flexibility if one password is forgotten. In addition, Admin has a separate password to reset the User or the one-time recovery passwords, or even to set a global Read-Only option that will lock the drive to changes when Users access the storage. There is an eye symbol to see entered passwords to reduce typos which cause brute-force attack protection to kick in (like caps lock being set). Local Management Capability refers to someone (Admin) setting up the drive for a User and then giving the drive to one or more people to use. Admin can always unlock the drive if needed.
