Minimizing RFID Tag Resonance Frequency Shift

Metal will not just mitigate the magnetic field, but it will also have an effect on the resonance frequency of the RFID tag. The antenna’s inductance is reduced by the metal object in close vicinity and the RFID resonance frequency shifts higher, out of the RFID operating frequency band. Applying the Flex Suppressor® between the RFID tag and the metal object will minimize the frequency shift and maintain it within the operating frequency range of the RFID band.
