The KPS-MCC series utilizes C0G BME (Base Metal Electrode) dielectric technology to achieve numerous benefits that make it ideal for harsh environment applications. With operating temperatures up to 200°C, these capacitors can be operated up to full rated voltage with no derating over the entire temperature range. The low loss dielectric in combination with nickel electrodes provides extremely low Effective Series Resistance and Effective Series Inductance, resulting in high ripple current capability and thermal stability. When comparing to Class 2 dielectrics such as X7R, this C0G dielectric has no capacitance change with applied DC voltage, minimal capacitance change with respect to temperature, and no capacitance decay over time. These devices also exhibit no piezoelectric noise and are non-polar.
