The Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting wire also has parallel construction with PVC insulation. There is a polarity ridge on one leg for positive circuit identification. The wiring is designed for use with most 12-volt outdoor lighting systems. This wire is sunlight resistant and is used for outdoor and direct burial applications. Another type of specialty wire is the Low-Voltage Sprinkler wire. It has a polyethylene (PE) jacket making this wire suitable for direct burial, sunlight, and moisture resistant applications.
