Key areas for RZ/A MPUs in general and the STREAM IT! RZ solution kit in particular are: Industrial HMIs, like Industrial Terminals or Point-of-Sale Terminals; Security equipment, like access control devices and fingerprint or face recognition; RZ/A is also great for streaming applications like Video Door Phones; and Gateways, such as Energy and Home Automation gateways. While these application segments can be considered separate areas, there is also lots of merging between them, meaning that many future applications will have an HMI as well as Streaming and Security implementations at the same time. Renesas has recently added the RZ/A Software Package to STREAM IT! RZ V2, which is designed specifically to easily enable merging multiple applications like camera, GUI and display.
