MAX11300 Programmable Mixed Signal IO Pt 3 Slide 3
This is the design the engineer creates with MAX11300 configuration software. Port 0 (P0) is a DAC and Port 10 (P10) is an ADC. The DAC will generate a sine wave signal which is then sampled-back with the ADC. Port 1 (P1) is configured as a DAC with an ADC monitoring to generate a triangle-waveform at the same time (with P0-P10 still running). This demonstration shows how the DAC output behaves if a load is connected to the DAC and how it can be monitored once the voltage drops. Port 4 (P4) is a DAC generating a sawtooth waveform, which is connected into level-translator Port 14 (P14) using an external potentiometer and sampling the output Port 3 (P3) back with an ADC on Port 13 (P13). This demonstrates a potentiometer adjustable pulse-width generator. Port 6 (P6) and Port 16 (P16) are configured as GPI and GPO functionality and emphasize maximum input-levels vs. output-levels. From this design it is possible to generate the register map.
