The units plug into standard NEMA wall outlets and fit into small spaces, allowing users to place them almost anywhere. Installation is DIY simple with no need for construction projects, external condensers, refrigerant piping, plumbing, raised floors, or costly HVAC specialists.

Units automatically restart after power outages with last-used settings and support automated on/off scheduling. Users never need to empty water collection tanks as they have built-in evaporators to prevent condensation from accumulating. The enhanced (suffix E) portable cooling models comply with the highest energy efficiency standards set by the Department of Energy (DOE), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and the Canada Natural Resources (NRCan). They meet the requirements of the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act and the EPA to phase down hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and lower the global warming potential (GWP) below 700.
