PLC transformers from Pulse, a Yageo company, have been specifically designed for EV charging and automotive charge control systems that communicate over the power supply cable and are supported by leading IC vendors aligned with the HomePlug and power line community. The system needs a secure communication link between the charger and the on-board battery management system, this is typically made over the power line and the PLC transformers give a wide option for size, safety and topology form the BM6xxx series.
Transformer operates from -40°C to +125°C and supports International Safety Standard IEC/UL-62368-1 for working voltages of 16 V or 500 V with functional, for onboard or reinforced insulation for residential connections.
