Hall-Effect Sensor ICs
Honeywell features their small, versatile, non-contact Hall-effect devices
Honeywell Sensing and Productivity Solution's SL353 series sensor ICs are small, versatile, digital Hall-effect devices operated by the magnetic field from a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. These sensitive devices are designed to meet a wide range of potential applications with low power requirements. The SL353 series responds to either a North or South pole, meaning that they do not require the magnet polarity to be identified, providing an easier installation and potentially reducing system cost.
The SS50AT series are low-cost bipolar Hall-effect sensors in a surface-mount package that have a thermally balanced IC over the full temperature range. The bipolar magnetics respond to alternating North and South poles. A built-in regulator provides very stable operation over 4.5 to 24 VDC supply voltage range, and internal circuitry prevents sensor damage in case the supply voltage polarity is accidentally reversed.
