ExtremePort™ QSFP+

The Amphenol ExtremePort QSFP+ interconnect system features a 38-position, 0.8 mm pitch connector engineered for high-speed serial applications. Each port supports four channels, enabling higher port density to maximize board space and deliver cost-efficient solutions. The ExtremePort QSFP+ connector supports next-generation 200G+ applications and transmits up to 56 Gb/s PAM4 per channel. It features a stamped and formed contact design providing improved mechanical durability. The resonance dampening features of the design allows for superior signal integrity performance. The design minimizes crosstalk and transmission line impedance discontinuity across the connector interface.

The electrical interface employs four lanes that operate up to 56 Gb/s PAM4 modulation, providing solutions up to 200 Gb/s aggregate bandwidth. It is backwards-compatible with QSFP28 and meets CEI56GPAM4 VSR requirements.
