The RCA-HP series has become very popular as the electronic industry trends towards high-power chip resistors in applications demanding high surge capability and superior power dissipation or where miniaturization is the goal, such as automotive, industrial, medical, military, avionics, and alternative energy. This series also boasts increased power rating and pulse capabilities compared to standard parts, where sulfur-resistant parts are also needed.
