The F673x family has a 320-segment LCD controller. Compared to the previous 160-segment solution, developers can leverage enhanced segmented LCDs with more programmability and enable more characters on displays, especially with Asian languages. Another advantage is that it enables dual displays and can run in up to 8-MUX mode to support larger LCD devices. These devices are designed for ultra-low-power modes, ensuring the LCD display is consuming as little power as possible during operation. The controller offers individual segment control versus port or peripheral selection. This offers greater flexibility and also saves code space. The segment blinking frequency is also programmable, providing the developer with more usability options. This feature can be used, for example, to display warning messages.
