The MSP430F673x family of microcontrollers also achieves more precise measurements through an increased sampling rate and superior linearity over multiple operating conditions, such as current, range and time, resulting in a stable system solution. The powerful 24-bit sigma delta converter offers independent channels for voltage, current and tamper detection. This device has multiple converters with differential inputs. Furthermore, each sigma delta has its own built-in programmable gain amplifier. Each converter can also be sampled simultaneously, resulting in smaller code space. For example, a software engineer no longer needs to compensate in software for the delay between sampling each channel.
