The QorIQ T4240 development system is a flexible system that supports the twenty-four virtual core T4240 processor. The T4240QDS main board is mounted in a 4U rack-mounted chassis and the main PCB is a custom form factor. An additional layer of flexibility for system clocking, power distribution, and I/O multiplexing is built into the T4240QDS. Eight expansion slots are provided for adding standard PCIe cards or NXP SerDes riser cards. The T4240QDS comes with a Linux board support package that provides a comprehensive starting point for Linux development efforts. The QorIQ T4240RDB is a low cost development environment. The T4240RDB is a compact, highly integrated reference design board featuring the 12-dual-threaded core T4240 device. This solution is designed and delivered by Nexcom Computer providing a complete development environment including NXP’s SDK and support from NXP’s CodeWarrior and Processor Expert tool chains. Customers wishing to design their own hardware solution can start with NXP provided design files, while customers wishing to purchase COTs solutions can purchase production level boards from NexComm directly. The QorIQ T4240 PCI Express® development platform is an ideal hardware and software development platform for high-performance networking and embedded computing applications. It incorporates NXP’s highly integrated QorIQ T4240 processor and leading-edge external components.
