Battery Overcurrent and Overvoltage Protector - ITV Series
Littelfuse’s battery protector is designed for use in many different battery-operated applications
Littelfuse's three-terminal surface-mount battery protector can provide both overcurrent and overvoltage (overcharging) protection. This is a secondary protection device that provides added protection for accidental overcurrent or overtemperature error conditions that can occur. Fuse elements are used to cut off the circuit when overcurrent issues occur, and a heater is embedded into the protector under the fuse elements. It will generate heat to blow the fuse once overvoltage is detected by IC or FETs. This is a unique device for universal battery protection in applications like automotive networks, power tools, and many other battery-operated devices.
