The board offers jumpers for selecting the desired LED output current allowing users to adjust the current to the high brightness LED or infrared LED of their choice. The optional output capacitor allows the user to minimize ripple for increased noise reduction or to eliminate the capacitor for cost savings and increased reliability due to the lower part count. Color coded terminals are solderable or available as clip-on connection points allowing one to start a design quickly without having to generate and solder lead wires. A Bill of Materials (BOM) is also provided in the demonstration board literature. The BOM includes pre-designed components based on desired LED current levels. Gerber files allow users to borrow from the existing design to complete the initial PCB layout. Designs can be rearranged for smaller footprints and non-symmetrical layout situations, such as light socket applications.
