Next we will discuss the previously upgraded 8 mΩ GM3 system as the baseline to show what upgrades can be made with the 6 mΩ GM3. For a baseline system of 100 kW and 50 kHz doing the same exercise as the previous slide, the designer has upgraded bounds of 125 kW at 50 kHz, 75 kHz at 100 kW, or a reduction in junction temperature to +121°C for the baseline 100 kW, 50 kHz system. Here, the designer is demonstrating not only the upgrades that could be made with the 6 mΩ GM3 over the 8 mΩ GM3, but also the significant upgrades that could be made to the present FM3-based solution. To reiterate, the key takeaway here is that with the Wolfspeed WolfPACK™ platform, power is not the only parameter that can be scaled; instead, the designer has design flexibility to achieve the overall design goals.
