LAPIS Low-Power Microcontroller Family

LAPIS Semiconductor has been designing and selling low-power MCUs that are based on 4, 8, 16, and 32-bit architectures for over 35 years. All of the microcontroller families are targeted to leverage their low-power consuming attributes in products made for the consumer and industrial markets; especially battery-powered products. The newest devices give designers the ability to easily meet the safety and low-power consuming requirements of those markets. ROHM’s micros are designed around a proprietary CPU core referred to as Un, where n is the bit width of the device. So, U8 and U16 devices are 8 and 16-bit families, respectively. They have prefixes ML61 and ML62. The 32-bit MCUs are based on the Cortex®-M0 and Cortex-M0+ cores.
