This slide compares the power and voltage efficiency of the two bridges over the 9V to 72V input operating range of the LT4320. As mentioned earlier, a regular diode bridge drops around 1.2V, reducing its efficiency to 87% with a 9V input. With the LT4320 MOSFETs sized for 60mV total drop, the efficiency remains at a high 99.3% even at 9V. The efficiency gained is 12% at 9V, 9.5% at 12V and 5% at 24V.
