The LTC263x DACs are available in a number of ordering options to meet a wide range of applications. In addition to selecting one of three resolution options, designers can choose between an internal 1.25V or 2.048V, 10ppm/°C reference to achieve a 2.5V or 4.096V full-scale range, making them a good fit for 3V or 5V systems. The internal reference is also bonded out, providing a convenient way to drive the reference inputs for other data converters in the system. An external reference can be used for non-standard output voltage ranges up to 5V. Ordering options include SPI or I²C interface and the choice between powering up the DACs at zero, mid-scale or Hi-Z, offering flexibility for designs that cannot be forced to ground when power is first applied. The LTC263x DACs are guaranteed monotonic and offer precision DC specifications of ±5mV max offset error and ±0.8% max full-scale gain error, while achieving better than ±2.5LSB INL at 12-bits over temperature. Additionally, 12-bit A-grade ±1LSB INL versions are available in the single and dual DAC versions. All specifications are guaranteed over commercial, industrial or automotive temperature ranges.
