This slide is a visual representation of the sensor accuracy. The image on the left represents Ideal Accuracy in which the sensor is in complete alignment with the application device. The image on the right represents an exaggerated view of Out of Optimal Alignment. It can be seen that the axial error along the axis, 3mm, is the air gap. For example, if the air gap is 6mm rather than the recommended 3mm, referring to Table 2 and Table 3 shown here, there is 0.42% linearity and 0.59% accuracy even though it is not in optimal conditions.
