The i.MX31 Product Development Kit is a 3-board module which allows customers to efficiently design, debug, and demo their applications using the i.MX31. The brain of the system is the i.MX31 processor module which contains the CPU, memory, and power management system. This module plugs into the debug board which contains the necessary functions for software and application development. The personality board forms the heart of the development kit by providing the most common end product interfaces such as a display, a camera, buttons, wired and wireless connectivity, and storage devices. All the i.MX31 Development Kit boards are considered production-ready in that the design and layout of the boards has been tested and verified to achieve a high degree of optimization. The design files for each of the boards are provided as a way to help jump start the hardware design process.
